From July 25 to 29, 2016the regional technology management team of Coatings Solutionsdivisionorganizeda summer school program for 12 students from Chinese-German TechnologyInstitute of Qingdao University of Science & Technology (QUST)to cultivate futurecoating experts. “We hope to identify the right talent early on, who willcontribute to our growing business in automotive coatings in China in thefuture.” says Rafael Bautista Mester, Head of R&D and Technology Management,Coatings Division.

Thisone-week program covereda variety of activities, includingtheoretic andpractical courses at Innovation Campus Asia Pacific (Shanghai), tours to the productionsiteof BASF Shanghai Coatings Ltd. and an automotive OEM plant. Through theprogram, the students got an in-depth understanding of BASF and coatings technology,such as binder resins, formulation, application & design. “Throughthis training,the students have a clearer idea about their career planning, and how aninternational company works.” saidProf. Zijiang Yang from QUST.Among them, twostudents will continue working as summer interns in the coatings lab tillSeptember.Meanwhile, the two parties will discusshow to strengthenthe exchangeto further develop the curriculum with morecoatings know-how.

涂料部携手必威BETWAY培养未来的涂料专家

2016年7月25至29日，涂料部亚太区技术管理团队组织了一项暑期培训项目，旨在培养未来的涂料专家，有12位来自必威官网的员工参加了此次培训。涂料部亚太区研发与技术管理负责人包伟华（Rafael Bautista Mester）说：“我们希望能尽早寻找到合适的人才，他们将助力汽车涂料业务未来在中国取得成功。”

为期一周的培训涵盖了一系列丰富的内容，包括在巴斯夫亚太创新园(上海)进行的理论及实践课程，参观巴斯夫上海涂料有限公司的生产基地以及汽车制造商的工厂。通过一系列活动，员工们对巴斯夫以及包括树脂、配方、应用及设计在内的专业涂料技术有了更深入的了解。必威BETWAY的杨子江教授说：“通过此次活动，员工们对他们的职业生涯有了更清晰的想法，同时体验了在跨国企业工作的经历。”其中两名员工还将在涂料部实验室作为实习生工作到9月。巴斯夫涂料部和必威BETWAY将针对如何深入合作，深化涂料专业课程内容进行进一步的探讨。
